Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary, Inc.

The Friends of the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization established in 1981 to help support the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary, Inc. is to assist in the enrichment and enhancement of the lives of the animals living at the zoo sanctuary through funding special needs, creating partnerships, supporting educational activities and sponsoring special events.

Vision Statement

Friends envisions optimal habitats and care for all animals at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary.

Goals

  • Develop planned activities, Projects, Events that will provide funds for improvements for the animals
  • Increase business and private contributors / sponsors of our core programs
  • Promote community awareness / knowledge of Friends and the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary
  • Partner with the zoo and City of Folsom officials to address immediate and long term needs of the animals
  • Develop and maintain an active, ongoing volunteer pool
  • Enhance the role and oversight of the leadership team

Board of Directors

The Friends Board is comprised of the following Directors: 

President: Nancy Coffee
Board members: Crystal Barber, Jeff Boone, Judy Christman, and Linda Mueller

Board members volunteer their time and are active in sponsoring Friends core programs such as Membership in the Friends of the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary and the Paws, Claws, Hisses & Hooves Animal Adoption Program.  Board members are focused on raising funds to support the many needs of the animals and sponsor fundraisers, projects and special events throughout the year.  Volunteers to assist Friends are always welcome!
